Yai: I am Yes
Me: How did you call me? You aren’t in my contacts are you?
Yai: I am yes, Sey I am.
Me: What the fuck are you on about?
Yai: I am Yes, Yai Sem
*Call Ended*
This recording was posted on a few forums and Xat chat room in around 2007. It would seem this person is not the only person who got this call however,a s other recordings started to pop up. Some were faked but the majority were on the level. The calls always contained a caller: Yai Sem, spouting this exact same dialogue. He was never in anyone's contacts, and those adding a “Yai Sem” seeking out a call from him, never got one.


This stopped in mid-2008, and the hype was over a month later. Yai Sem had died an internet meme. Well… until now at least. Like the people before me I will show you this call on any Xat, Wiki forum or video format I can find. He is back. But he is not the same.

Me: I read about you, you know.
Yai: Sey I am.
Me: What?
Yai: Sey I am!
Me: You… are. You are yes.
Yai: I am Yes. Say you are.

I have no fuckign clue what this means, but somebody out there, please help me figure this out.

Thanks for the feedback everybody! I’m glad I am not alone. It seems like posting my story anywhere but here gets it deleted. I suppose it’s because my tale will be treated as nothing more than a little fake ghost story. But I know what I saw. Anyone who has seen or heard Yai Sem, please tell me.

He wasn’t copying me, it was… like an echo. It was as if… I was on the other line. Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit! This happened like half an hour ago and I am still shaking! Please someone give me an answer!

I have been getting emails from people who got echo calls from Yai Sem. He isn’t fucking around this time, and I am not going to pursue him anymore. Screw it. I am NOT answering his call.

Even when I quit, go off skype, log off, he still calls, non-stop! Whether I mute the computer or put headphones in, my computer constantly plays that skype jingle non-stop…. I finally gave in.

The calling has finally stopped. Yes. I am very happy.

Jesus fucking Christ did I write that!? Dammit… okay, so the people who I have been talking to over this past week via email, about these calls. Well, some of them have sent weird emails… eight of the twelve people I talk to, sent one last email to me. All of them said “Yes I am.” It’s like a fuckign zombie apocalypse,a nd we are all slowly succumbing to this!  I’m so scared I feel like I am going to throw up everywhere! Oh fuck me, fuck me!

My remaining four friends, their responses are as follows. “ I got the emails to, I am glad you're still here.”
“Yes I am.”
“I am going insane! We have to meet up!”
“Yes, I agree.” Then later “Oh fuck! What did I write!?”
I am taking up that offer from the 3rd email. We live in the same city, and I really need someone here who knows what I am going through.

My new friend… we met up and… since then we got two new emails. “Yes I am” and “Yes I am.”  We decided we may not have much time, so, we decided to go out and do something fun. Before…
We had fun… she almost seemed to forget about this whole Yai Sem thing… That was before she had to snap me out of my trance. We were watching a movie, and I began to chant “Yes I am. Yes I am.” It is inevitable, but I put on a straight face. She has shown no signs of losing her mind. But I wonder, what will become of me?


I guess… I'll Say goodbye, I doubt I will survive the morning. I am Yai Sem. I am Yes.
